We are launching the DX490LC Electric, a 50-ton crawler excavator. This machine is 100% emission-free yet offers the high productivity you would expect from a machine. The DX490LC Electric is powered by an electric motor delivering 294 kW nominal power. The machine features three interchangeable battery packs (Megaboxes), with a total available capacity of 1,200 kWh or 1.2 MWh. This allows the machine to operate for 8* hours continuously.
Thanks to the easily interchangeable patented battery packs and the fact that the machine can also run on an individual battery, it is possible to operate the machine 24/7. Swapping the three battery packs is just as quick as refueling your diesel machine. The battery pack consists of LFP Blade modules. The system voltage is 600 V and the available capacity per battery pack is 400 kWh. By using the high-voltage system, there is less loss and greater efficiency is achieved through the batteries using the unique LFP Blade technology.
