May 10, 2013 remains an important day for us. This is the day we first opened our doors in Veghel. A lot has happened in these years; from day one, our team and I have worked incredibly hard to bring Staad to where we are today. To us, it feels like our joint company. A place where we all put our shoulders to the wheel, where everyone is allowed and encouraged to speak their mind, where ideas abound, and where, step by step, we have together organized things better and better.
It feels incredibly good to build something beautiful together with so much energy, striving to do everything we do a little better every day. With the customer as the starting point! As a team, we tackle challenges and ensure an appropriate solution. We attach great value to this. That is why customers feel heard and welcome with us. This creates enjoyment, a good and pleasant atmosphere, and great collaboration.
Staad is always close by. Thanks to our mobile workshops, we can be at your location in no time in the event of a breakdown or maintenance. Of course, it is also always possible to visit our branch in Veghel. Here in Veghel, we are housed at two locations on the Doornhoek: Staad HQ and Staad R&D.
Our battery factory is located in Oss, where we produce our Powerbox battery packs and Fieldmaster fast chargers (DC) and inverters (AC) . Our external production facility for electric earthmoving equipment is located in Harlingen, Friesland. In a large factory hall there, we serially produce our zero-emission powerhouses equipped with Staad Electric conversion kits.
Since 2025, we have also started as an OEM manufacturer, and in mid-2026, the first electric mobile excavator of the STAAD brand, the STAAD 17W, will roll out in Harlingen. In the meantime, a second electric excavator of our own brand has been released: the STAAD 23LCR , which will roll out at the end of 2026.
Together with the entire team, we are ready to serve our customers every day. Troubleshooting, preparing machines, demonstrating, sourcing parts, providing sound advice, and so on. Always keeping the customer at the center of everything. We are constantly looking for new colleagues who are just as ambitious as we are.
In our view, it is therefore about how you and the team approach helping a customer move forward—an external customer, but also an internal customer, our own colleagues. As a team, we therefore expect everyone to immediately address customer questions and challenges and offer the right solution. In this regard, making your own decisions and taking the action that follows is more important than waiting. In this way, everyone proactively seeks the most optimal solution every day.
We place great value on the people on our team enjoying what they do. After all, if you do it with pleasure, you will quickly master the tasks and become good at them. You will feel comfortable in your own skin, and you will radiate that. This also benefits collaboration and the atmosphere.
Looking back, there is only one word that remains the same for us, and that is change. The environment around us is changing at a rapid pace, and customers are setting higher expectations and demands. We recognize this ourselves as well; when we are a customer somewhere, we really want to be treated like a customer. When you want to buy something, or if something is broken and you are looking for a solution, it feels great when the company behind the product acknowledges this and genuinely does its best to offer a solution. And if the employees on that team are also genuinely happy when you are satisfied, then nothing could go wrong. Then you feel valued as a customer and are happy to return.
