Our largest electric machine is the 55-ton crawler excavator. This enormous powerhouse is 100% emission-free and has the high productivity you would expect from a machine. The DX555LC Electric is powered by an electric motor with a nominal output of 294 kW. This machine features three interchangeable Powerboxes 400 with a total available capacity of 1200 kWh. As a result, the machine is expected to be operational for a full working day.
Thanks to the easily interchangeable Powerbox battery packs, it is even possible to operate this machine 24/7. Replacing these Powerboxes is just as quick as refueling your diesel machine. Each battery pack consists of LFP modules. The system voltage is 600 V and the available capacity per battery pack is 400 kWh. By using the high-voltage system, there is less loss and greater efficiency is achieved by the batteries.
With a giant like this, you can expect a spacious cabin, and it delivers—in fact, it is the most spacious in its class. With low noise and vibration levels and excellent all-round visibility, it is a pleasure to operate this machine. The standard air conditioning with climate control completes the package, ensuring you can enjoy comfortable operation every day, in every season.
