John den Reijer Grondwerk en Bestratingen paid us a friendly visit to pick up his brand-new Develon mini excavator. A drive from Liempde in Brabant to Veghel is perfectly manageable, especially when you know your new acquisition is already standing there, shining brightly.
And this isn't just any mini excavator; it's a beautiful and complete one in this case! This Develon is a compact powerhouse that performs effortlessly where space is at a premium. And thanks to the 'Zero Tail Swing', it works close to walls, fences, and buildings without compromising on power or stability, and that is exactly what you want!
We were pleased to make John den Reijer happy with a Develon DX27Z-7k mini excavator featuring a spacious, heated cab and air conditioning. We carried out the following work on this machine in our workshop:
DropsaVET (formerly Wiejelo) lubrication system;
3 extra LED work lights on the upper carriage;
2.1 meter boom with 1.30 m dipper stick (equipped with 100 kg extra counterweight);
Structural work: fitted with the heaviest counterweight;
Hydraulic quick coupler CW05 incl. 1.5 ton load hook;
Ditch bucket, rubble bucket, deep shovel bucket, and banana bucket (rubble bucket equipped with teeth).
In the photos in the photo album below, you can see that a vacuum clamp and unit have been mounted on this mini excavator. This was done by the contractor themselves, and as you can see, it was done very neatly. With this, the mini excavator can lift tiles and stones (in layers) and easily place them close to the work site. The company logo stickers were also applied by the contractor themselves, and they look sharp. The photo album therefore contains photos of the pickup and of our Earthmoving Days , because by then it was completely finished and nicely polished as well.

The optimized hydraulic system in the DX20Z-7 mini excavator takes full advantage of the available engine power of the Yanmar 3TNV70 3-cylinder Stage V diesel engine with an output of 10.3 kW (13.8 hp) at 2200 rpm. This results in fast cycle times combined with smooth control of breakout forces, including an over-the-bucket digging force (ISO) of 1.55 tonnes.
In the standard configuration, the DX20Z-7 has an operating weight of 1995 kg. With the optional 1.1 m long arm, the maximum digging depth of the DX20Z-7 is 2345 mm, the maximum dump height is 2750 mm and the maximum reach at ground level is 3975 mm. This working range offers maximum performance and versatility when operating a wide range of attachments.
The DX20Z-7's high lift capacity and superior dump height make truck loading a simple process, while its ground-level reach reduces the need to reposition each time you dig.
When the DX20Z-7 undercarriage is fully retracted to a width of 950 mm, the machine can travel through narrow spaces. When fully extended to a width of 1360 mm, it provides optimum stability for the excavator, especially when working over the side. Extending and retracting is simple and easy via a switch on the control panel.
The DX20Z-7 is built around the driver and offers optimal ergonomics. There is ample foot space with a flat floor for easy cleaning, ergonomic pedals and easy access to all controls. Forward visibility is optimized by the highly luminous LED lamp on the boom.
The use of highly durable materials ensures that the Doosan DX20Z-7 model provides durable and robust performance. All components and design features have been tested under extreme conditions and the heavy duty steel tailgate provides extra durability and stability on the job. The cylinder guards and battery cover provide additional protection.
The tailgate can be opened quickly for instant access to conveniently located components such as easy-to-clean coolers and other daily maintenance and service points, minimizing downtime.
