Develon has expanded the 9-series crawler excavator line with the introduction of two new, larger models, the DX360LC-9 (37 tonnes) and DX400HD-9 (42 tonnes). These complement a unique and innovative platform based on fully electronic hydraulics (FEH) and integrated artificial intelligence. The new models join the 23-tonne DX230LC-9 and 26-tonne DX260LC-9, which were first presented at Bauma 2025 and launched across Europe last year.
The DX360LC-9 is powered by the Develon DX08V engine with an output of 227 kW (304 hp) at 1800 rpm (SAE J1995) and a maximum torque of 1230 kgf/m at 1300 rpm. The machine has a maximum digging depth (standard boom) of 7.5 m and a maximum digging reach of 11 m.
The same Develon DX08V engine – a new development to replace the earlier Scania engine – also forms the heart of the DX400HD-9. It delivers 254 kW (341 hp) at 1800 rpm (SAE J1995) and a maximum torque of 1460 kgf/m at 1300 rpm. This model also has a maximum digging depth of 7.5 m and a reach of 11 m.
