Our regular customer Boskalis Nederland is our client when it comes to electric earthmoving machines. But also because of the service from Staad and the collaboration we have regarding the custom build-up of excavators. Together, we know exactly what is needed. This week, we delivered the fourth of a series of seven brand-new DX355LC Electric crawler excavators .
This crawler excavator is getting to work on a dike reinforcement project in Heerewaarden, on the River Waal. Upon delivery at the project site, our demonstrator provided a detailed explanation and demonstration of this zero-emission crawler excavator, after which the operator was able to get straight to work. This electric excavator is equipped with two interchangeable Powerbox 400 battery packs , allowing it to effectively operate 24/7 with a five-minute interruption for a battery change.
We have made Boskalis happy again with a customer-specific DX355LC electric crawler excavator. Here at Staad in the workshop, we installed a few more options:
Boom extended to 7.90 meters, stick extended and bent to 5.88 meters
Widen undercarriage to approx. 3.80 meters;
Raise undercarriage by approx. 650 millimeters ground clearance;
Counterweight increase of approximately 4,000 kg;
Chamfering track plates;
Verachtert CW40 hydraulic quick coupler;
Groeneveld grease lubrication, where the grease pot (8kg instead of 4kg) has been lowered for easy filling;
Trimble Earthworks GPS preparation;
BMair Freshfilter overpressure unit preparation;
Electrically switched swing damping;
Electrically switch bucket cylinder to extra function;
Lamp package (six LEDs) for boom extension, two of which on the inside of the dipper stick with protection;
Two extra counterweighted work lights;
Install folding steps at the cabin entrance;
Sprayed in company colors and finished with a clear lacquer coating.
We wish Boskalis Nederland and the operator of this machine many pleasant, safe, and emission-free operating hours.
