We recently organized four special demo afternoons at our STAAD R&D location in Veghel. These events were exclusively for customers who have already chosen our STAAD-branded electric mobile excavator: the STAAD 17W.

What makes this special is that a number of these customers had already committed to our fully electric machine before an official brochure was available and while extensive test machines had not yet been released. We highly value that trust. That is precisely why we felt it was important to give these customers the opportunity to experience the STAAD 17W for themselves at an early stage.
In an informal setting, customers and their operators were invited to drive and operate the most advanced pre-production demonstration model of the STAAD 17W currently available. This gave them the opportunity to experience the machine firsthand while development continues to make it production-ready.
They also got a look behind the scenes at our STAAD R&D workshop, where they could see how this electric excavator is being developed step by step with a view to series production.
It is precisely that direct contact from the field that we consider important. Looking together, testing, sharing experiences, and continuing to develop towards machines that are ready for the daily use of tomorrow.
Operators outside dealer Staad's existing customer base were also invited to thoroughly test the 17W and share their experiences.
From the very beginning of development, the operator was central to our approach. Not only in the concept, but especially in practice. Direct feedback from the cab helps us refine the final details before production officially starts.
Bosch Rexroth was also present during the final test day. Together with our own R&D project manager, their team spoke directly with operators to discuss findings and experiences. Some ideas, feedback, and adjustments could be tested immediately after Bosch Rexroth had changed a specific setting. It was therefore worthwhile to see how the participants directly experienced the improvements while operating the machine.
We continue working with confidence on the final production specification of the STAAD 17W, after which the machine will be built in series at our STAAD production facility in Harlingen.
And as soon as the STAAD 23LCR reaches the same stage of development, we will organize these sessions again for this electric powerhouse on tracks.
