A significant moment in the partnership between Staad and GMB: with the delivery of this Develon DX260LC-9, the final excavator from a larger order has also been delivered. It is known from previous delivery reports that GMB has purchased multiple earthmoving machines from us, including both diesel and electric machines. We view this collaboration as a true partnership. Even now that the entire order has been delivered, we remain at your disposal with service, support, and expertise.
Moreover, this order included a nice first. We had the privilege of delivering the very first Develon DX260LC-9 to a Staad customer, and for Staad, this was the very first crawler excavator delivered from the new Develon-9 series. Once again, this delivery proceeded entirely to the customer's satisfaction.
The brand-new crawler excavator is the heaviest diesel machine of the three Develon diesel excavators ordered by GMB. For the delivery, we drove the Staad truck to the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam, where the machine immediately went to work on a project involving the expansion of a container terminal.

This DX260LC-9 from the new -9 series is a real powerhouse, as you would expect from Develon. The machine has a modern look and operates more efficiently thanks to a four-cylinder engine instead of the usual six-cylinder. Thanks to the turbochargers, the machine delivers more than enough power, while fuel consumption is lower. In addition, the DX260LC-9 easily meets Stage V emission regulations.
The new, spacious, and luxurious Develon cab offers a high level of comfort and productivity. The operator benefits from an ergonomic design, excellent all-around visibility, and adjustable ambient lighting. Machine functions are easily accessible via the large 12.8-inch touchscreen. The heated and cooled seat completes the comfort picture.
The GMB order is characterized by a fully customer-specific configuration, tailored to daily practice. The operators who work with the machines every day were listened to carefully, and it shows.
For this crawler excavator, we have carried out the following work, among others, in our workshop in Veghel:
Groeneveld central lubrication;
engcon quick coupler and tiltrotator
BMair Freshfilter overpressure system, preparation only;
Trimble Earthworks GPS preparation;
Curved armored glass roof pane (fixed mounting);
Hydraulic functions: hose rupture valve on bucket cylinder, pressureless return and adjustable swing throttling;
Chamfering of the track plates;
Lifting eye welded onto dipper stick including CE certificate;
Camera and an extra LED work light on the inside of the dipper stick;
Toolbox in the undercarriage;
Sprayed in GMB corporate colors and finished with a clear coat;
GMB company logo and decals applied.
On-site, our demonstrator provided a comprehensive explanation of the machine, after which the operator could get straight to work. Together with representative Frank Verbij, this was a great moment where even the last questions were answered.
