At Staad, no two days are the same. Our customers often have unique needs and purchase specific machines. Because we, as Develon importers, receive "standard" machines, we have the added bonus of customizing all customer-specific options. These extra options transform a machine from a beautiful machine into a superb one, potentially with every option available. Think, for example, of additional hydraulic functions, special tires or mudguards, and every conceivable attachment. We also offer a fresh coat of paint and decals that perfectly reflect the customer's corporate identity. Custom options are also possible; we go to great lengths to achieve this. Besides being a Develon importer, we're also a Develon dealer for the southern Netherlands. We're happy to deliver new machines to your business or project location—anything is possible. After delivery, customers can always contact us for the best service (24/7 breakdown service), repairs, maintenance, parts, and personalized advice. Since 2019, Staad has been fully committed to converting conventional earthmoving machinery to emission-free operation. In this case, we're converting to electric, and we're even leading the way in the Netherlands. Unlike the dealership for the southern Netherlands, we deliver our electric machines throughout the Netherlands and internationally. For example, many of our electric earthmoving machines are already operating in Scandinavia, sometimes with temperatures below 30 degrees Celsius, and that's going well.
Improving and further developing electric excavators and the associated charging infrastructure products is also part of our work. It's interesting to note that we also produce the necessary battery packs, called Powerboxes , for our earthmoving machines ourselves, as well as the smart software. The future is emission-free; we at Staad have known that for years. With our experience in conventional and converted electric earthmoving machines and the associated charging infrastructure products in the civil engineering sector, we began researching, then designing, and building our own fully electric mobile excavator a few years ago: the STAAD 17W. At Bauma 2025, Staad, in its new role as manufacturer, proudly presented this brand-new, innovative powerhouse—a world premiere! The Dutch premiere of this emission-free masterpiece was at TKD 2025!
Besides this emission-free excavator, we also developed a brand-new Powerbox 300, because the 17W is more efficient and can run just as long (9-14 hours) with 100 kWh less in the battery pack. The Powerbox 300 also features a built-in AC inverter and can therefore be used off-grid. For example, to power your construction trailer, which contains the coffee maker. This Powerbox 300 and its smaller sibling (the Powerbox 200, currently in development) can easily be transported on a trailer behind a car.
