Boskalis Nederland is a regular customer of ours when it comes to electric earthmoving equipment. And not only because of our electric machines, but also because of the service from Staad and the collaboration we have regarding their custom configuration. Together, we know exactly what is needed. Currently, various electric mobile excavators and crawler excavators from Staad are operating on impressive projects, such as at the Meanderende Maas.
Last week, we delivered the first of a series of seven brand-new DX355LC Electric crawler excavators . This machine will get to work on the IJsseldijk Zwolle-Olst project. This dike reinforcement section is being carried out completely emission-free and is part of the Flood Protection Program.
This brand-new crawler powerhouse was delivered directly to the project using the Staad combination. For this, we drove to Wijhe in the province of Overijssel. There, our demonstrator provided a comprehensive explanation and demonstration of the zero-emission machine, after which the operator could get straight to work. He switched from the DX355LC Electric in Staad's rental fleet to his 'own' Boskalis acquisition.
This electric excavator is equipped with two interchangeable Powerbox 400 battery packs , allowing it to effectively operate 24/7 with a five-minute interruption for a battery change.
We have made Boskalis happy with a custom DX355LC electric crawler excavator. Here at Staad in the workshop, we installed a few more options:
Verachtert CW40 hydraulic quick coupler;
Groeneveld grease lubrication, where the grease cup has been lowered for easy filling;
Trimble Earthworks GPS;
BMair Freshfilter overpressure unit preparation;
Electrically switched swing damping;
Electric switching from bucket cylinder to extra function;
Two extra counterweighted work lights;
Install extra work lights on the left and right sides of the dipper stick;
Beveled track plates;
Install folding steps at the cabin entrance;
Sprayed in company colors and finished with a clear lacquer coating.
