Once again, we delivered an electric powerhouse for Negam , part of ReintenInfra from Borne. Back in 2023, we delivered a DX165W Electric in its original orange color. You can now see that zero-emission mobile excavator in one of the images in the photo album. And in 2024, ReintenInfra purchased another electric mobile excavator , also a DX165W Electric. We delivered that excavator in ReintenInfra's yellow color and it was fitted with the Van Wijk Beton, Weg- en Waterbouw livery, which is also part of ReintenInfra.
Last week, we were back in Borne (Overijssel) for the delivery of a brand-new zero-emission crawler excavator in ReintenInfra's 'own' yellow color and with company branding. A gem of a machine! Beauty lies in the details; this machine could easily be part of the 'perfect picture', at least that's what we think :) But this DX355LC Electric doesn't have time for that, because it is getting fully engaged in the most beautiful projects. Negam's projects mainly involve nature restoration work, renewing weirs, and redesigning waterways, which means this excavator ends up in the most beautiful and (un)known places in the Eastern Netherlands.
Upon delivery, Staad demonstrator Joey naturally provided an extensive machine demonstration. After all, delivering an electric excavator is more than just handing over a key and waving from the sidewalk. We fully guide operators, equipment managers, planners, and other stakeholders through the usage, operation, and charging process. Not complicated, but essential.
This DX355LC Electric is equipped with two interchangeable Powerbox 400 battery packs. This allows an excavator of this size to run effortlessly for longer than a full workday, without changing or recharging in between. Need to change? Then it is practically operational 24/7. A battery change takes just five minutes per Powerbox. Shorter than some coffee breaks.
This electric crawler excavator was also built to customer specifications in our workshop, including the following:
It goes without saying that all our electric earthmoving machines comply with the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC). They also comply with the UNECE R10 (EMC), ISO 13766 (EMC), and UNECE R100.3 standards. The following standards are used for the charging protocols: IEC 61851 (AC), DIN SPEC 70121 (DC), and ISO 15118. Naturally, this is included as standard with our electric excavators.
Electric equipment is sometimes still underestimated. But machines like these now prove daily that emission-free operation is absolutely not inferior to diesel. On the contrary. Instant power, high availability, minimal downtime, and whisper-quiet operation on the most beautiful projects in the Netherlands.
We wish ReintenInfra/Negam and the operator many pleasant, safe, and emission-free operating hours.
