Doosan Infracore Europe has launched the new Doosan DX420LC-7 Stage V 43-ton crawler excavator. It offers best-in-class fuel efficiency and productivity. To meet Stage V emissions regulations, the Doosan DX420LC-7 excavator is powered by the new Scania DC13 diesel engine. This engine delivers 257 kW (344.4 HP) of power and is the largest in this machine sector.
Thanks to efficient DOC/DPF+SCR after-treatment technology, the Scania engine offers a new solution for meeting Stage V requirements and guaranteeing minimum emissions, without the need for exhaust gas recirculation. This is combined with the new Smart Power Control Technology (SPC3) to provide 3-10% better fuel efficiency than the previous DX420LC-5 model.
Four power modes are now available, simplifying operation of the new Doosan DX420LC-7 excavator compared to the previous machine's eight more complicated power modes and SPC combinations. The operator can set the power mode (P+, P, S, or E) in either one-way or two-way modes.
In addition, the new Doosan DX420LC-7 offers 2% more productivity in operational tests thanks to the combination of the SPC3 system and a new Doosan Mottrol main control valve. As a result, in addition to the best lifting performance for a machine of this size, the best digging, swinging and pulling forces are also guaranteed.
Improved controllability and comfort
The new cab in the Doosan DX420LC-7 model offers an unprecedented level of comfort and ease of operation. It excels in spaciousness and ergonomics thanks to a new high-quality chair. The cab offers more features as standard than other machines on the market, ensuring optimum controllability and high precision.
Major new features in the cab:
360° cameras provide a full view around the excavator and give the operator a top view of the area outside the machine. The camera series consists of a front camera, two side cameras and a rear camera. The camera display is separate from the meter panel.
Particulate filter maintenance greatly reduced
Thanks to the new DOC/DPF+SCR technology, the maintenance of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is greatly reduced compared to the previous DPF in the DX-3 machines, with a six times longer automatic regeneration interval of 60 hours and an ash cleaning interval of 6000 hours. The operator can now see the amount of ash in the DPF from the seat in his cab via the gauge panel and check whether a regeneration has been successful.
The Doosan DX420LC-7 model is equipped with the latest DoosanCONNECT, Doosan's wireless fleet monitoring system. With DoosanCONNECT the machines can be secured, performance can be displayed and preventive maintenance can be arranged.
As a top ICT brand, Doosan has taken a big step forward by offering customers free lifetime mobile service on all DX-7 excavators. This means that customers can use the DoosanCONNECT service indefinitely, as long as they use a mobile network. Satellite service is provided free of charge for a period of three years.
